A man from Marionville charged with child sexual abuse faces circuit court arraignment next week in Taney County.

Fifty-four year old Carl Nunnery is charged with seven counts of child molestation, statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct.  He’s also awaiting trial on a dozen similar charges in Lawrence County.

Nunnery allegedly stayed in Branson motel rooms with four children between January of 2008 and August of 2010.  He’s scheduled to be arraigned in Taney County circuit court May 3 after being bound over on all seven counts during a preliminary hearing this week.

Nunnery remains in the Taney County Jail on one-million dollars bond.  His Lawrence County trial is scheduled for September 24.

Nunnery’s wife, 68-year old Carolyn Nunnery, was sentenced in December to probation after pleading guilty to a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.  She was charged with allowing her husband to stay with the children, with the knowledge that he was a registered sex offender.
