A man from Harrison, Arkansas is charged with stealing cash while working at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter in Branson.

According to a probable cause statement, 19-year old Spenser Fenton allegedly removed money from the cash register while making change for customers, then hid the cash under the counter to be retrieved later.  The statement also indicates that Fenton activated a so-called Green Dot card, available at the store, by loading money onto the card and closing out the sale without paying for it, allegedly taking CDs, a radar detector, candy and drinks.

The alleged thefts occurred from April 9th through the 23rd and totaled 21-hundred dollars.

Fenton is in the Taney County Jail on 5-thousand dollars bond.  He appeared for initial arraignment, and is due back in court May 1st.

What I want to know is why they don't bust after the first incident? They just let them go and go trying to get more serious charges. Just stop it while it's still a misdemeanor! Who wins from that?
