A 20 year old man from Branson has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in a home invasion in July of 2009.

Nathan Gardner was found guilty in March by a Taney County jury of 1st degree burglary, first degree assault, and armed criminal action.

Circuit Court Judge Mark Orr handed down Gardner’s punishment Thursday.

Authorities say Gardner and another man forced their way into a home on Quebec Drive in Hollister when a woman answered the door, a man inside at the time was beaten with a club and handgun.

Mark Gandy of Harrison pleaded guilty last year to assault and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

It is a shame that this whole family is lawbreakers. His brother goes on trial Monday. I bet they wished they had stayed in Oklahoma instead of moving here!

such a young man, who will probably be in and out of prison for the rest of his life - too bad there's not something that can be done for rehab, but the sad fact is, once they serve a long prison term when they are 20 years old, they only know crime and prison when they get out.
