A man from Vicksburg Mississippi is being treated for moderate injuries after wrecking his motorcycle in Stone County.

The Highway Patrol says 54 year old Stanley Markus was eastbound on Highway 86 near Carr Lane when he lost control of his bike while trying to avoid hitting a car that was waiting to turn off the highway.

Markus was thrown from the motorcycle, as the bike ran into the back of a car driven by 40 year old Joenica Wiedknecht of Lampe.

Marcus was taken to Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson. Wiedknecht wasn’t hurt.

Troopers say the accident happened Wednesday evening just before 5:30. Members of the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District were called to help at the scene of the accident.
