The Branson Lakes Area is honoring military veterans this week by observing Armed Forces Remembrance Days.

A special armed forces salute is planned today on board the Showboat Branson Belle. A golf tournament will be held tomorrow at Thousand Hills. The inaugural Armed Forces Day Parade will take place Saturday morning at 10 at Branson Landing.

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 will host a BBQ and fundraiser Saturday evening at the Lions Club on Mount Branson.

Armed Forces Remembrance Days will end Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock with a USO type show and special tribute at the ICON Theatre on West Highway 76, featuring several Branson entertainers and guest speakers. Organizers say the show is open to the general public and all active duty military and their families will be recognized. Tickets for the show are free.
