The current provost of Arkansas State University–Mountain Home is a finalist for the Chancellor’s job on campus.
Four finalists from a field of 64 have been chosen to interview, according to university officials. Dr. Pat Bailey will be interviewed Tuesday by the ten member Chancellor Search Advisory Committee.
Bailey has been provost since 2009. Before that she served as Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the Mountain Home campus. Bailey also was a former coordinator of Counseling and Testing Services at North Arkansas Community College in Harrison from 1982 to 1995.
The other three finalists for the job will interview this week or next, depending on their individual schedules.
The finalists will also meet with faculty, staff, students and community members. Individuals attending the interview sessions will have an opportunity to submit feedback regarding each candidate to the search committee.
Current Chancellor Dr. Ed Coulter is retiring at the end of June after 17 years on the Mountain Home campus.
