You see state troopers out on the roads, but how much do you know about the Missouri Highway Patrol?  You can learn by participating in a five-week program at Troop D headquarters in Springfield.  Highway Patrol Sergeant Jason Pace says it’s a unique opportunity for students, community leaders and responsible citizens…

The program is on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9 starting September 18th, ending with an awards banquet October 23rd.   Because the program locations for Troop D alternate with Joplin, it will be a couple of years before the Community Alliance Program is offered again in Springfield.  Applicants will be evaluated on a first-come basis, and a criminal record check will be done.  If you’d like to participate in the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Community Alliance Program, contact Sergeant Jason Pace at 417-895-6767.
