Students seeking an education in the area of healthcare have until August 2 to turn in applications for the TEPCOR scholarship.  It’s designed to provide funding for individuals who are interested in pursuing a clinical healthcare degree or certification and for healthcare professionals wanting to further their education.

Any student selected to receive financial assistance from this fund must commit to work at Skaggs Regional Medical Center for a period of time that is based on the amount of financial assistance awarded.  The scholarship earned its name TEPCOR because funding for the scholarship began with a lead gift from the Taney Economic Partners Corporation.

“Over the years the program is maintained thanks to donations from the community, area businesses and current Skaggs employees designating payroll deductions to the TEPCOR scholarship fund through Skaggs Foundation,” says Rodney Arnold, President Skaggs Foundation.  “Our community members understand that this scholarship helps meet the area’s healthcare needs by educating more healthcare professionals in the community.”

Print off a TEPCOR application from the Skaggs Foundation page at www.skaggs.net under How to Give. For more information call Skaggs Foundation at (417) 348-8998.

Founded in 2002, Skaggs Foundation was established to help support Skaggs Regional Medical Center by encouraging and engaging community members in philanthropy.  As today’s healthcare costs continue to climb and our population ages, there are many ways community members can make a huge difference in the lives of those we serve.
