With temperatures hovering near triple digits this week, outdoor workers in the area are taking extra precautions to stay cool and not be overcome by the weather conditions.

For the hundreds of employees at Branson’s largest tourist attraction, Silver Dollar City, trying to stay cool is just as important as entertaining the guests at the 1890’s theme park.

Spokeswoman Martha Hoy Bohner tells HometownDailyNews.com several steps are taken to guard against the heat:

She also says those employees out in the heat are given more frequent breaks and are rotated in and out of air conditioned work stations.

Branson’s largest tourist attraction is going to great lengths this week to protect its employees who are out entertaining guests, while temperatures hover near triple digits.

Silver Dollar City spokeswoman Martha Hoy Bohner tells HometownDailyNews.com the theme park’s nearly 12-hundred employees are encouraged to drink extra water, given additional breaks in air conditioned areas, and provided with other cooling options like cold compresses under their 1890’s themed clothing:

She says employees are also able to slip into Marvel Cave at the theme park – a popular spot to say the least, where the temperature all day is only in the 60’s.
