The Branson Hilton Convention Center Hotel is scheduled to re-open earlier than first anticipated.  The multi-story lodging facility at Branson Landing took a major hit from Mother Nature February 29th, when a tornado ripped through town causing millions of dollars in damages.

Hotel General Manager Bill Derbins updated the Branson Board of Aldermen last night:

Derbins says some work will continue after the Hilton reopens.  He told aldermen that the carpet in the convention center ballroom and corridor still has to be replaced, and that won’t happen until late December and early January when hotel business slows down.

Derbins says the Promenade section of the hotel complex across the street at Branson Landing has 8 rooms that can’t be used now due to construction.

The actual Convention center re-opened in early April, after crews repaired that section of the facility.
