A Branson man is sentenced to 2 years in prison on a charge of class D felony aggravated stalking.
The case against 31-year-old Michael Alexander stemmed from an incident last October when Alexander’s ex-girlfriend and 3 other witnesses called Branson police stating Alexander was outside their home banging on the door and yelling threats that he would shoot and kill them.
According to the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation conducted by police revealed Alexander had altercations with his ex-girlfriend at multiple bars earlier that evening, and he also visited his ex-girlfriend’s mother and had threatened her.
Alexander entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor’s office. The maximum sentence for aggravated stalking is 4 years in prison.
