POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – College of the Ozarks Professor of Biology Robert Snyder is named Conservation Educator of the Year at the Conservation Federation of Missouri Awards Ceremony in Jefferson City.

Snyder is recognized for his lifelong passion for conservation and wildlife, having served in conservation capacities all over the world. He served as an agricultural advisor in Rwanda from 1986 to 1992, and later served as director of Food for the Hungry in Mozambique and Kenya.

Snyder is the sponsor for the Ozark Fisheries and Wildlife Association on the C of O Campus. Club president Eddie Sterling received a Conservation Achievement Award at the same ceremony in Jefferson City.
