Robert McCormick Crouch, age 71, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was born April 28, 1946 in Waukesha, Wisconsin the son of Bee and Edith (Knudsen) Crouch. On November 7, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann (Liz) Mahoney, who survives. Also surviving are one sister, Janet Tyner of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Joe Mahoney and his wife Pam of Louisburg, Kansas and John Mahoney and his wife Judy of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Dupus and her husband Steve of Edmond, Oklahoma and Teresa Tow and her husband John of Claremore, Oklahoma and many loving nieces and nephews, including Brad and Rick who have been with us throughout the illness.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Jim Riggs.
Robert graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He then received his officer training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army, receiving a Bronze Star. For several years he was employed by the city of Kansas City as a police officer. In 1997 he moved to Shell Knob and worked on Kings River Golf Course and did construction remodeling houses. Some of his favorite pastimes were boating, working with stain glass, carpenter work and his old Dodge pickup. He was especially fond of his dogs, Beau and Snickers.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
