HOLLISTER, Mo. — Ozarks Technical Community College is accepting enrollment for its free Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) classes held at the OTC Table Rock Campus in Hollister, Mo.
The classes provide individualized learning programs for adults who want to prepare for the High School Equivalency (HSE) exam, learn English as a second language or improve their reading, math and writing skills.
To be considered for OTC’s AEL program, participants must be at least 17 years old and not enrolled in high school. Due to limited seating, early enrollment is encouraged.
Classes are held at the Table Rock campus, room 107. Enrollment dates and class times are listed below:
- Daytime enrollment is the first and third Monday of every month at 8 a.m.
- Evening enrollment is the first Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m.
- Day classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Evening classes are held Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Established in 1991, OTC’s Adult Education and Literacy program serves more than 1,000 students on an annual basis. The program’s mission is to provide specialized instruction for students who wish to build or refresh the basic academic skills necessary for success. In coordination with local school districts and agencies, the program operates learning centers in Greene, Polk, Dallas, Laclede, Christian, Taney, Stone and Webster counties.
