HS Football: Forsyth 1st Home Varsity Game, Other Area Games

Tonight’s High School Football Slate around the region includes the first Home Regular Season Varsity Game for Forsyth and a couple of home openers in Arkansas:

-While Forsyth did get a taste of Friday Night Action during their Junior Varsity Season last year, the Panthers will have their first full Varsity Home Game tonight as they entertain Diamond. The Panthers, after an opening week win in Kansas City against Northeast High School, have lost consecutive week’s to State Ranked Teams to come in 1-2 while Diamond is in search of victory number one, though they came close to winning losing in overtime in Week Two to Jasper. Tonight’s Kick-Off in Forsyth will be at 7:00 with the replay of tonight’s game being heard on AM 1220 and 98.1 FM KCAX Saturday Morning at 9:00.

-Two Arkansas Schools have their home openers tonight both coming off wins in Week One with the Harrison Goblins entertaining Siloam Springs and the Berryville Bobcats taking on Clinton. Green Forest, looking to rebound from a Week One home loss, has another home outing tonight as the Tigers host Pierce City from Missouri.

-The Reeds Spring Wolves will look for their second win in a row tonight coming off their win at Bolivar as they entertain Rogersville, coming off their second win of the year last week against Hollister. Kick-off is at 7:00 with broadcast start at 6:40 on Hometown Daily News.com and MY 100.1 FM KOMC.

-The other two lakes area teams look to rebound from losses tonight as the Branson Pirates travel to Ozark to face off against the Tigers, who lost for the first time last week at the hands of Carl Junction while the Pirates are looking to end a two game losing streak. Broadcast at 6:40 on 106.3 KRZK. Meanwhile, the Bolivar team that lost to Reeds Spring last week and is still searching for their first 2017 win will entertain Hollister, who lost for the first time last week. 6:40 broadcast on 98.1 FM and AM 1220 KCAX. Both games are also streaming on-line at Hometown Daily News.com.
