FORSYTH, Mo. – A woman from Rogersville charged in the shooting death of 32-year-old Chad Deadmond of Branson waives formal arraignment and pleads not guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
A pre-trial conference is now scheduled for November 9th in the case against 25-year-old Najee Donson, who remains jailed without bond in Forsyth for revoking her probation in a previous drug-related offense.
Taney County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Donson during the early morning hours of June 15th, when they responded to a location near U-S 65 and Rose O’Neill Drive and found Deadmond’s body lying near a vehicle, with a gunshot wound to the face.
Deputies located two guns and two spent shell casings at the scene, according to an incident report used to file charges.
Donson is accused of producing a handgun and shooting Deadmond during an argument.
Another woman charged in the incident, 32-year-old Summer Terrell of Rockaway Beach, is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on October 17th. Terrell is charged with felony tampering with physical evidence and misdemeanor counts of stealing and tampering with a motor vehicle.
