Shorty Smalls is down to one location in Branson.  The restaurant at Branson Landing has closed its doors.  Shorty Smalls off Highway 165 remains open, with an employee answering the phone there saying that the location downtown closed Wednesday, but didn’t give a reason why.  A message left with the restaurant’s manager hasn’t been returned.  The restaurant reportedly ran into financial difficulty after last spring’s flood onLakeTaneycomo. The restaurant’s website still has The Landing on its list of locations.  Besides Branson, Shorty Smalls also has restaurants in Arkansas,Oklahoma, andKansas.

Do you need to be told a reason? - 09/30/2011 11:59:29 PM
"The location downtown closed Wednesday, but didn’t give a reason why." Businesses only close for basically one reason that I know of, it was not financially supporting itself, so they closed it. Stand by for more to follow.
The real reason - 10/06/2011 8:53:57 AM
Mr. Gage who owns the location has filed for bankruptcy. I am sure this was a contributing factor.
