The White River Valley Historial Society is asking the Branson Planning and Zoning Commission for permission to open a museum in Downtown Branson, to help celebrate the City’s 100th Birthday this year.

The Commission is scheduled to take up the agenda item at its meeting Tuesday night at 7:30 at Branson City Hall.

A spokeswoman for the Historical Society says the Branson Centennial Museum is a joint project with the City, Branson Chamber, and the Downtown Branson Main Street Association.  Branson businessman Jim Morris is donating a building at the corner of Main Street and Veterans Boulevard for the museum, but Centennial Committee members need Planning and Zoning approval first.

By all means build them a building, don't consider using one of the empty buildings sitting around town.
