Bowers says members of the public were able to view preliminary maps in September. The new maps reflect an increase in flood elevation outlined in 2008. Bowers says for Hollister, there is little change in the flood plain. Hollister aldermen hold that hearing at 7 o’clock tonight at City Hall. For the City ofBranson, Flood Plain Administrator Tim Bonner says aldermen will hold a public hearing on adopting the new FEMA flood map sometime in the next few weeks. Bonner says the only change is that more of the Bee Creek and Roark Creek areas now have a base flood elevation, and no existing structures in the city are affected by the change in the flood map.
