A power outage in Stone County was caused by a fallen tree.

White River Valley Electric cooperative says the tree fell on a three-phase line around 3 o’clock this morning, breaking 5 utility poles.  Fewer than 500 members were affected.

Crews have been working to replace the poles.  A few isolated outages may remain until that work is completed this morning.
