Miss America Pageant Now Underway; Former Miss Branson Competing

Friar qualified for the pageant after winning Miss Missouri last summer. In an exclusive interview with HometownDailyNews.com, Friar says she’s confident of her chances: The Miss America competition started yesterday with individual interview. Today, the contestants will be involved with a video and photo shoot, and tonight they will take the stage for their individual questions. Miss America will be crowned Saturday night, and can be seen live on local ABC affiliate KSPR. =====(2nd Version)===== Former Miss Branson Sydney Friar thought that by the time today rolled around, she would be a nervous wreck.
