A man from Hollister, charged in connection with a pursuit through multiple jurisdictions, faces circuit court arraignment next week in Taney County. Thirty-three year old Michael Ruzycky was bound over this week after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.
Authorities said last month that Ruzycky fled when a Taney County deputy tried to stop him for an alleged stolen license plate. The hour-long pursuit involved deputies from Taney, Boone and Stone Counties, and troopers from Missouri and Arkansas.
Deputies said Ruzycky emerged from the car with a machete after being forced off the road. He’s charged with resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon.
Ruzycky remains in the Taney County Jail. Arraignment is set for January 19th.
