A 53 year old man from Hollister has been charged with 2nd degree statutory sodomy in Stone County after an alleged incident with a 15 year old boy at a store in Branson West.

The Stone County Sheriff says deputies were dispatched to the store Sunday where they were told a juvenile victim was sexually accosted in the bathroom. After meeting with Branson West Police and the alleged victim, deputies used the store’s video surveillance, as well as cell phone records to track down the suspect.

Sheriff’s detectives along with Hollister Police served a search warrant at the home of Kyle Larue, and authorities allegedly recovered clothes that the suspect was wearing in the surveillance photos.  Authorities say Larue posted 15-thousand dollars cash bond and has been released pending his next court appearance.

Its really sad you can't let your kids go to the bathroom without some sicko preying on them.

Evil lurks everywhere. Safety in numbers and nobody should go in a public restroom alone evil anymore. Especially small children

I am sure this guy will be loved at the state pen.
what about the victim's rights? - 01/12/2012 9:53:18 AM
Are you kidding me? A $15,000 bond and this man is out running the streets and possibly finding other victims? Someone, please explain to me WHY? He should not be allowed to see daylight. I realize we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but I understand they saw on video this man taking him by knife-point. Perhaps I heard wrong? I don't know. I feel so sorry for the victim in this case and admire his bravery in reporting this pervert. I can only imagine that the victim feels fear as this sick piece of dung has being let out to prey on other victims or perhaps fear that he will try to find him. I used to not feel safe letting the kids go to the bathroom by themselves away from here, but not at our local store. Who would have thought someone that age would be accosted in a bathroom in our area? Maybe we will get lucky and this guy will save the tax-payers some money and hang himself. I wish they would give out his van license so we could take turns following him until his court date, making sure he doesn't bother anyone else.

He shouldn't be out on bond. Sure hope nobody finds him alone ;)

Have you watched, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"? All rapists should get the same tattoo that she gave the guy that raped her.

I'm absolutely abhored that they let this guy out on such low bail. They hold marrijuana suspects on larger bails than this. I'm posting to facebook and anywhere else I can think of because this guy should be recognized by everyone and everyone should protect themselves from this guy. A 15 year old in a public bathroom (almost has to be Wal-Mart, they're the only ones with cameras in BW and enough clout to get the news people not to mention it) this guy must be pretty bad-a to have assaulted anyone of that age and not been hurt in the process.

I would think that the story of a knife on video would not be true. Bond is normally set based on the amount of evidence they have against the person. A low bond tells me very little evidence. What if the guy went to the bathroom and was approached by the kid and asked to buy him cigarettes or alcohol and the guy refused? The kid gets mad and throws out false claims as revenge. Think about it, low bond says no weapon or no evidence. The kid is 15 so he is bigger, stronger and faster then the smaller kids who are the normal targets of these crimes. Then it took place in a public restroom where anyone could walk in at any time or be heard easily if the kid yelled for help. Something isn't adding up on this one to me but the rest of you have already found him guilty and hung him without really thinking about or knowing any facts.

7 years ago my children had a situation where a man that they knew took inapproprite pictures of them. Fortinatly, nothing this bad happened to them. The man was given a 100,000 dollar bond in taney county. What is stone county thinking. It was later found that this man had sodimized onther child. He is still in prison and won't get out for quite soom time. It just really burns me that this is not being taking seriously by who ever the judge is in stone county. Maybe this childs mother will luck and it will be moved to taney county because of where he lived if only that could happen. My thoughts and prayers go out to this childs parents. It will be a long process but hang on and hopefully you will see your justice like we did.

This is truly disgusting!!! How could they let this man out for such a crime.. not to mention the ridiculous bail!! Is this what we are coming to? I remember a time not so long ago that we all felt safe in our environment in the "Lakeview" area. We were a neighborhood of safety and companionship. Of course this is what happens with growth, but this is a slap in the face of our justice system. I pray for the victim of this horrible man and know he must be terrified that he is out...I sure would be.

I'm sure no parent gave a thought to accompanying a 15-year-old boy to the restroom. For that matter, the kid might have been at the store on his own. Sad state of affairs this world is in.

5 words, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! I cannot believe that this man is out on a bond so low. I cant say they wouldnt have to put me behind bars if I seen this guy out in public, maybe I will have such a low bond.

Intheknow - 01/12/2012 9:45:59 PM
This guy is a pervert and should be hanged. however, the knife point and the preying on an innocent child part is not exactly true. More facts will surface in time I am sure. Chances are it was a planned rendevoux...

These kids have a hard enough time growing up. God help you in jail, your gonna need it. Its sad to live in a world your child cant go to the bathroom with out being victimized. Thanks for reminding us you sick twisted vile human being.

It's a sodomy charge, not rape. YES its wrong but the 15 year old consented so yes larue is wrong but so is the 15 year old...just saying
