A man from Powersite is charged with growing marijuana in a residential basement.

The Taney County Sheriff’s office says 50-year-old Adam Kuhs was arrested after deputies executed a search warrant, and found a half-dozen marijuana plants at a home on Richmond Road.  Deputies seized the plants, grow lights and other items, including a 45-caliber handgun. 

Kuhs is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was released on 10-thousand dollars bond.
