A Taneyville man must complete a prison-based drug treatment program or face a 10 year sentence.
The Taney County prosecuting attorney says 52-year-old Rex Applegate was sentenced last week after pleading guilty in September to a charge of manufacturing meth. Applegate was charged in October of 2010 after deputies executed a search warrant at his home on Middleton Road.
According to the prosecutor, the judge in the case will retain jurisdiction, with probation a possibility if Applegate successfully completes the treatment program.
