There will be no Branson School Board election on the April ballot. 

The filing period for candidates closed this week, with two filings for the two open seats on the board.  According to state law, when the number of open seats equals the number of filings, an election will not be held. 

Peter Marcellus filed for re-election to his seat, while Wendy Davison did not file as a candidate.  Also filing was Dan Boone, who will now fill Davison’s seat. 

Marcellus and Boone will be sworn in at the April meeting of the Branson School Board.
