Skaggs Health Fair February 25th; Presented by Hometown Radio

The Skaggs Health Fair presented by Hometown Radio is Saturday, February 25, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Skaggs Outpatient Center, 545 Branson Landing Blvd. Registration will be required for all blood work, mammograms and skin cancer screenings. Registration for screenings begins Wednesday, February 1. Call (417) 335-7733.

“Some modifications have been made to ensure our guests are getting the best experience they can at our health fair,” says Michelle Leroux, Skaggs Media Relations Specialist. “Along with health education we’re adding a few educational presentations with specialists and many more new screenings.”

Screenings that require pre-registration: complete lipid panel ($10), prostate specific antigen (PSA) ($10), A1c ($10), skin cancer screening (FREE) and screening mammogram (cost based on insurance requirements). PRE-REGISTRATION DOES NOT BEGIN UNTIL WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1.

Additional screenings that are free and that do not require an appointment include blood pressure, height, weight & body fat, blood sugar finger sticks, breast screening and foot screenings. Theses screenings will be located throughout the fair.

Join us all day! Skaggs Café is offering low-cost healthy lunch choices from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also, fifteen minute presentations on various topics by healthcare professionals will be held in the Skaggs Education Center, Suite 406, in Skaggs Outpatient Center. These presentations are free and there is no need to register, but seating is limited. A sign-up sheet will be located outside Skaggs Outpatient Center, Suite 406 the day of the fair.

At 2 p.m. the winner of Lighten Up for Life-Couples weight-loss challenge will be announced in Skaggs Outpatient Center lobby. For additional information on Skaggs Health Fair presented by Hometown Radio visit www.skaggs.net/healthfair.
