Sheriff's Inmate List Back Online
 By: Sally Kaucher The Taney County Jail inmate list is once again available online. Sheriff Jimmie Russell says an issue arose several months ago with the jail management software and the software for the new CODY system, which is now used countywide… The page on the county’s website allows users to see a full list of county jail inmates, as well as charge and bond information. Russell says work continues on transferring booking photos to the site, with other updates also available soon. Sheriff Jimmie Russell says the county’s Information Services department and the jail administrator have been working toward a solution, and for the most part, have resolved the issue… Russell says the issue involved the jail management software, and the new CODY system, which is now used by law enforcement agencies across Taney County. I liked the site better when they put the inmates picture online. It is nice to put a face to a name.

The site is not an accurate up to date account of who is in jail at this time. I know someone who is currently in Taney County and their name is not on the list.

Put the pictures back up. I think it is helpful to have the pictures so that when one is about town, if they see one of these culprits they can be on the lookout. |
