Missouri U-S Senators Respond to State of the Union Address
 U-S Senator Roy Blunt (file photo)  U-S Senator Claire McCaskill (file photo) By: Sally Kaucher In response to President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, Republican U-S Senator Roy Blunt says the President’s economic policies have not only failed, they’ve made the economy worse. Blunt says discussions during recent visits to 26 counties in Missouri focused on rising utility costs. He says more American energy is the shortest path to more American jobs, and the number one domestic priority is more private sector job creation. Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill says the vision Obama laid out to bolster manufacturing and invest in the work force is a starting point that all in Congress should be able to support. She says Missouri’s middle class families expect Congress to work together and be willing to compromise.

HER STARTING POINT WAS 2009 AND IT WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE! NO REASONABLE PERSON WOULD SUPPORT THE CONTINUING POLICIES OF FAILURE! NOTHING IN HIS SPEECH THAT WASN'T PURE CAMPAIGNING PROMISES!!

Typical partisan response to the speech. no matter what he said Blount wasn't going to like it and McCaskill would love it. perhaps if we could meet in the middle the country would be in a better place. Too much partisan backbiting. |
