A man charged with rape has appeared in court after being returned to Taney County from Tennessee.

Thirty-three year old Lonnie Pickle remains in jail on a 50-thousand dollar bond.  A bond reduction hearing is set for February 7.

According to a probable cause statement forwarded by the prosecuting attorney, Merriam Woods police responded on July 21 of last year when a woman alleged she had been raped by Pickle.

Pickle was extradited last weekend from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
