A September 2011 introductory showcase in Branson convinced international singing star Dudu Fisher that Branson audiences will love his new show. A rousing standing ovation at the end of the show was the confirmation Fisher was looking for. Hundreds of those in attendance stayed for the post-concert “meet and greet” to encourage Dudu Fisher to bring his show back to Branson as soon as possible. Fisher said, “I have fallen in love with Branson and I am thrilled that so many folks think my show will do well here.”

The return engagement of Jerusalem Performed by Dudu Fisher is scheduled for May 1 through May 20 and October 1 through October 21, 2012 excluding Saturdays at the Caravelle Theatre, 3446 West Highway 76, next door to the Jim Stafford Theatre. “Jerusalem” is a story about the holy city of Jerusalem, the capital of the state of Israel and the spiritual capital of Christians, Jews and Moslems throughout the world. Fisher said, “Although Jerusalem was physically destroyed thousands of years ago, it was never spiritually destroyed. Throughout those years the Jewish people never forgot their beloved city and always prayed toward her, dreamed of her and sang to her.” Backed by his band of world-class musicians, through 18 songs, stories and visual effects, Dudu tells the story of Jerusalem and its people.

Dudu Fisher is known throughout the world for his stirring performance as Jean Valjean in the hit show “Les Miserables.” In addition to a long run in his home country of Israel, he starred in “Les Miz” on Broadway and in London’s West End. During his long career, Dudu Fisher has recorded thirty-eight albums. He sang the role of Moses in the Hebrew version of Stephen Spielberg’s “The Prince of Egypt.” He has sung with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, recorded an album of show tunes with the London Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Baltimore and Queens symphony orchestras. He has performed for Britain’s royal family, the Thai royal family and for President and Senator Clinton.

Tickets at $32.50 for adults and $16.25 for children and students, 4 to 18 years old, go on sale March 1, 2012 at the Caravelle Theatre box office and at various area ticket outlets.
