Silver Dollar City is a finalist for an online award as the top theme park in the country.

The 10Best.com website also lists Busch Gardens, Hershey Park, Disney World, and Universal Studios, among others, as choices when voting.

Theme park enthusiasts are asked to log on to the travel company’s website between now and February 19th to name their favorite destination.  10Best.com says it advises 40 million travelers a year online.

A spokesperson for Silver Dollar City says there’s no big award involved, the contest is just for kicks.

In promoting the contest 10Best.com says Branson has always sought to market itself as a family friendly vacation destination in theMidwest, and no single attraction embodies this fact more than Silver Dollar City.

The local theme park opens the 2012 season March 15th.

We are very blessed to have all of their amazing businesses which bring millions of our tourists with their quality, variety, and so much more - not to forget they spend hundreds of thousands marketing to bring people in to our community and employ a large majority of our service industry. We would sink from the map without them. CONGRATS HFEC.

I notice they have given tens of thousands of dollars to your "Party". Helps decide doesn't it?

Maybe "I didn't" should do their homework. SDC has full time employment in some areas AND benefits if you are there long enough. They are a good company to work for. They still allow religion and prayer in their park. And provide church service for employees that wish to attend but can't cause they are at work.
