A candidate running for Taney County sheriff claims one of his opponents lives in Stone County because of the mailing address listed on the paperwork submitted when he filed for office.
Kenny Edmonds just after 3 a.m. Thursday, sent an email to several media outlets in the area, as well as other organizations such as the Rockaway Chamber and Downtown Branson Main Street Association, questioning Steve Dalton’sHampton Road mailing address in Reeds Spring. Edmonds went as far as posting on his Facebook page that Steve Dalton lives in Stone County, and asked anyone to tell him he was wrong.
HometownDailyNews.com contact ed Edmonds after conferring with the Taney County Clerk that Dalton does indeed live within the county, even though he has a Reeds Spring address:

Edmonds removed the online post within a few minutes after the interview, but did not say whether he would apologize to Dalton for the statement he made.
Edmonds told HometownDailyNews.com that he planned on going to the Hampton Road address in person to double check it’s location within the boundaries of TaneyCounty.
The third candidate in the fall primary is incumbent Sheriff Jimmie Russell.

Within a few minutes following the interview, Edmonds removed the post from his Facebook page that questioned Dalton’s residency. Edmonds wife removed a similar post from her Facebook account as well.
