Thousands of guests attended the weekend ceremony at the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson marking the 100th anniversary of the sinking, of what was then, the world’s largest cruise liner.
The guest list included a dozen descendents from the passenger list of that fateful morning in April of 1912.. Some survived – some perished.

Tom Goldsmith of Ashland Ohio was one of those descendents who attended the ceremony. His grandfather, 9 years old at the time, was on board the Titanic and survived.

Goldsmith’s great-grandmother also survived the sinking of the Titanic, but his great grandfather lost his life when the ship went down in the North Atlantic, after striking an iceberg.

John Joslyn watched over the weekend as several descendents of the Titanic passenger list walked through the museum in Branson that honors the ship, reflecting back and recounting stories handed down from generation to generation.
The Titanic Museum Attraction on Highway 76 hosted a special ceremony Saturday afternoon, marking the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the world famous cruise liner.

A dozen descendants were honored during the ceremony, with some seeing the museum for the first time.
The festivities concluded with the lighting of the Titanic Eternal Flame on the museum’s bow.

Goldsmith brought along his son and niece for the 100th anniversary ceremony marking the sinking of the Titanic cruise liner at theTitanic Museum attraction on Highway 76.
Goldsmith’s grandfather, 9 years old at the time, was on board the sinking ship and survived, as did his great-grandmother. Unfortunately for Goldsmith – his great grandfather perished in the accident:
