The 47th Annual Eureka Springs Antique Automobile Festival scheduled September 8 and 9, 2017 adds more than five new sponsors and more activities for the longest running car celebration in the Ozarks. In addition to the new larger venue at The Great Passion Play, other event improvements include handmade trophies by local artist J.D. Harris, national car clubs, Red Cross Blood Drive and the addition of a Sunset Rally on Friday at 6 p.m. The festival will continue to feature a parade of autos through downtown Eureka Springs starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Long-time event supporter, Les Jacobs Ford, is joined by new sponsors this year, including Windle & Associates, Johnson Automotive, Little Apple Glass, NAPA, Gaskins Switch, O’Rielly, and Shirley Bird. A portion of the proceeds will help support Eureka Springs Echo Community Clinic.
“The Sunset Rally is winds around Beaver Lake, across the Little Golden Gate bridge and ending at the Crescent Hotel. Festival participants have an opportunity to win some excellent prizes while enjoying the best cruising roads and scenery in Mid-America,” added Miller.
Early registration is available on Friday, September 8 from 2 to 6 pm at The Great Passion Play. The Sunset Rally departs the Passion Play grounds at 6 pm. The festival begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 9 with another round of registration and features a variety of vendors and photo opportunities. Judging start sat 9 a.m. with winners announced at 3 p.m. for over 30 award categories. The downtown parade of cars starts at 4 p.m. Car entry fee is $25, vendor space $50.
