Alfred Vanetta Hayworth
Alfred Vanetta Hayworth, age 91, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his son’s home in Washburn.
He was born November 26, 1927 in Washburn, Missouri, the son of James F. and Jessie P. (Vonstiers) Hayworth. On September 28, 1948 in Bentonville, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Lily May Cargile, who preceded him in death on December 2, 2004. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Erwin Hohensee and Leonard Hayworth and three sisters, Geraldine Benham, Alva Loucille LeBlanc and Jean Harwick.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Cargile and his wife Pat and James Hayworth and his wife Sharon, all of Washburn, Missouri; two brothers, Jack Hayworth and Jimmie Hayworth, both of Washburn, Missouri; one sister, Rosie Mae Walker of Wichita, Kansas; three granddaughters, Angie Varner and her husband Jerry of Washburn, Missouri, Brandi Hayworth of St. Peters, Missouri and Kandi Wetzel and her husband Chris of Gainesville, Georgia and five great grandchildren, Chantel Martin, Auvin, Mattie and Grace Wetzel and Avery Hayworth.
Alfred grew up and received his education in Washburn and attended Washburn Prairie School. He was a life-long resident of Washburn where he farmed and logged. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. Alfred accepted the Lord as his Savior in February, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019 at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Milford Baker will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
