Alice Marie Woods
Alice Marie Woods, age 70, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, with family at her bedside. She entered this life May 29, 1949, in Sherwood, Tennessee, the daughter of John and Elizaahbell (Simmons) Barnes. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Alice loved her Lord and was a member of the Midway Church of God in Chicago. She helped run a bus route for her church and fell in love with her bus kids. Her best friends at the church were Juanita and Aloha. She enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, and Jimmy Swaggert, and going to thrift stores. Some of her favorite verses were Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. It is very evident Alice loved her children and would do anything for them. She loved and was loved by all. She will be dearly missed.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Earl Woods; sister, Annie Kovalsky; sister, Doris Seddon; and grandson, David Walls.
She is survived by her six daughters: Debra (Robert) Zeigler of Spring Hill, Lousiana, Linda Dean of Hollister, Missouri, Allison (Raymond) Malecki of Chicago, Illinois, Janice Frisbie of Phoenix, Arizona, Rachel (Kenneth) Wible of Wisconsin, and Elizabeth (Jeremy Parks) Woods of Omaha, Arkansas; grandchildren: Robert Jr., Joshua, Stacy, Amy, Dakota, Hollie, Kim, Jessica, Regina, Ethan, Regan, Holiday, and Wyatt; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Johnnie Overturf of Tennessee; sister, Pearl Freeman of Illinois; sister, Betty Foster of Missouri; and sister Evelyn Pickard of Tennessee.
