Anita Marie Durham
Anita Marie Durham, age 73, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away July 15, 2020. She entered this life October 22, 1946, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Theodore Duplanti and Mary Ruth Campasino. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
An outdoor person, Anita spent joyful times working in her plants and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her late husband doing art projects and going to the lake. Her new companion, Saba the cat, has received much attention while watching NASCAR together. Anita was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness and shared her time in service with her husband, Gary, while they moved around and finally settled in Forsyth, Missouri staying busy with family and friends. Her lifestyle and love for people will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Durham; mother, Ruth Campasino; two brothers: Bruce Duplanti and Larry Duplanti; and sister, Marcia Thomas.
She is survived by her three sons: Chris (Shanden) Templar of Lebanon, Missouri, and Daniel Curry of San Diego, California, and Brent (Nina) Curry of Surprise, Arizona; daughter, Valarie (Bill) Hayes of Lebanon, Missouri; two step-daughters: Michelle Suer of California, and Christie Durham-Martin of Washington; 13 grandchildren: Jadeynn, Ryder, Weston, Wyatt, Damian, Keirsten, Wilder, Caleb, Katia, Roman, Tavian, Nathena, and Arimus; brother, Bobby (Sherry) Duplanti of California; nieces and nephews: Dana (Janette) Johnson, Kim, Ralph, Luisa, and Luke Bohn, Melinda, Victor, and Duran Mendoza; special friends: Corinne Simpson, and Tim, Sherry, Tia and Sierra Sarvas.
