Betty Mae Neeley
Betty Mae Neeley, age 91, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Peachwood Manor in Cassville.
She was born June 23, 1928 in McDonald County, the daughter of Howard and Faye (Norman) Banks. On December 28, 1945 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Bob Neeley, who preceded her in death on November 23, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Margie Fields and brother-in-law Max Fields.
Surviving are three daughters, Stephanie Neeley-McGee and her husband Dave of Springfield, Missouri, Ronda K. Neeley of Springfield, Missouri and Vicki Sparks and her husband Allen of Cassville, Missouri; two brothers, James Banks and his wife Betty of Cassville, Missouri and Ronnie Banks and his wife Juanita of Washburn, Missouri; she was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Trent Cowherd and his wife Sharon, Kimberly Clarke, Michelle Butcher, Mark Easley, Bobby Noland and his wife Kyla and Whitney Kloss and her husband Jake; eighteen great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and lifelong dear friends, Carl and Patty Buchanan and Bob and Sue Mizer.
Betty grew up and received her education in Cassville, where she graduated from high school. For many years she was a devoted pastor’s wife. Some of her favorite pastimes were collecting antiques and traveling. Bob and Betty especially enjoyed their yearly trips with their three daughters. Holidays were very special to Betty and she loved her family and church family dearly. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.
