Beverly "Betty" Ann Cox
Beverly “Betty” Ann Cox, age 76, of Derby, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019. She entered this life February 18, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Edith (Hudlin) Carpenter. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Betty was a loving and caring mother that would do without so her family could have everything they needed. She enjoyed Bingo, penny slots, traveling, and crocheting. Betty was “in love” with Elvis. She was funny and fun to be around. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Briggs Cox; brother, Charles Burkholder Jr.; brother, George Burkholder; sister, Sharon Trester; daughter, Tammy Lowrey; son, Jackie Cox; son, Johnny Cox; and son, Mitchell Carpenter.
She is survived by her son, Ryan Mitchell Cox of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Jon (Earlene) Burkholder of Park City, Kansas; sister, Marla (Penny Austin) Barnes-Austin of Derby, Kansas; sister, Rhonda Ortega of Branson, Missouri; sister, Charlene (Mark) Shoemaker of Forsyth, Missouri; brother, Rick (Debra) Burkholder of Branson, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
