Bill Barber

Bill Harber, Reeds Spring, MO, son of Joseph and Dona (Bramlett) Harber was born on August 21, 1931 in Keokuk, OK and departed this life on May 31, 2019, at the age of 87.

Bill was a retired lineman who had lived in the area since 1970 coming from Kansas City, MO. He served his country in the US Army, received his 65-year pin from the Electric Union (was also the longest standing member), was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City, MO.



Bill loved doing construction and he built several businesses in the Reeds Spring area.  And a really favorite thing he enjoyed doing was “jamming with the boys” at the Slane Community Building down DD.


Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dona Harber and two sons, Bobby Gehringer and Lonnie Foster.


Survivors include: his wife, Earlene Harber of Reeds Spring, MO; six sons, Bill Gehringer and wife, Joy of Oklahoma, Don Gehringer and wife, Thelma of Kansas City, MO, Monte Foster and wife, Beatrice of Ozark, MO, Barry Harber and wife, Viki of Tampa, FL, Bryan Harber of Lampe, MO and Brad Harber of Oklahoma; two brothers, Dean Evert of Norman, OK and Dale Harber of Huntsville, AL; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City, MO with Father Joji officiating. Burial will be in Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
