Billy Earl Moore

Billy Earl Moore, age 90, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born October 22, 1929 in Wellington, Texas the son of Chester and Hazel (Blanford) Moore. On February 14, 2001 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Vera Fayrene “Faye” Randall, who preceded him in death on September 28, 2017. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Jimmy Moore and John Moore; a brother, Eddie Moore and a sister, June Moore.

Surviving are one son, Jerry Moore and his wife Sandy of Springfield, Missouri and four granddaughters.

Billy grew up and received his education in Wellington, Texas. From 1950 until 1970 he served in the United States Air Force. He resided in Mulvane, Kansas several years, moving to Shell Knob in 1991. For twenty years he was a cook at St. John’s Hospital (now Mercy Hospital). Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and playing golf.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
