Services for Bob Schanz, 82 of Branson, will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 with visitation at 2:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
Robert Francis Schanz was born on September 30, 1937 in Stamford, Connecticut. He was the son of Frank Schanz and Estelle (Adamkowski) Schanz. He attended parochial elementary school where he also served as an altar boy and later high school in Stamford. Bob moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he was an accomplished photographer and owned his own studio. He photographed music legends such as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, The Beatles, as well as prominent politicians during his decades of photography work.
Bob moved to Branson from Nashville in the Early 90s and made his home here.
He entered into rest on Friday, January 17, 2020 at his home.
Bob is survived by his son, Craig Schanz of Stamford and two grandchildren, Deanna Cachoian-Schanz and Callan Schanz.
