Brian Eugene (Schmit) Blackstock

Brian Eugene (Schmit) Blackstock, age 51, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on September 17, 2019, after losing a long battle against pancreatic cancer. He was born July 9, 1968, in Beatrice, Nebraska. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Brian Blackstock

Brian led a life full of dreams and creativity. He was very skilled with his hands and could do so many things. Throughout his life, Brian learned many skills and trades. He drove semi-trucks, rode bulls, worked with animals, built houses, worked as a landscaper and arborist, and carved many beautiful objects including delicate jewelry pieces, just to name a few. Brian also volunteered his free time as a cook for his local Lion’s Club and as a volunteer fire fighter/first responder for many years.

Although many loved ones preceded him in death, they will, with no doubt, welcome him. He is survived by many loved ones including his parents, children, and his loving wife who will miss him greatly. Brian will be missed by many.

In lieu of the traditional services, we are asking for family and friends to gather and remember Brian wherever you may be on September 29, 2019. At this time, each of his parents are planning to hold a gathering as well as his wife. Please contact one of them if you would like to join them as they remember Brian’s life and their love for him. If unable to attend one of the gatherings or plan a remembrance of your own, we ask to please take a moment on that day to remember him however you like. To leave an online condolence, please visit
