Cathryn Ann Babbit
Cathryn Ann Babbit, Branson, MO, daughter of Edward Linton and May Ruth (Pettigrew) Campbell, was born on September 19, 1928 in El Dorado, AR and departed this life on August 26, 2019, at the age of 90.
Cathryn owned a land title and escrow company and had lived in the area for the past fifty-eight years coming from Kansas City, MO. She was a founding member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Kimberling City, MO and a member of the Diocesan Council for Western District of the Episcopal Church, faithfully attending until her health failed; and a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Business and Professional Women.
Cathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lynn Mildrexler; her husband and one of the original incorporators of Kimberling City, Kenneth R. Babbit; and a grandchild, Erin Lynne Babbit.
Survivors include: two sons, Stephen Babbit and his wife, Carlene of Kimberling City, MO and Douglas Babbit of Los Angeles, CA; three daughters, Deborah Stevenson of Fort Worth, TX, Rebecca Feaster and her husband, Jeff of Houston, TX and Theresa Manlove and her husband, Joe of Reeds Spring, MO; one brother, Ed Campbell of Seattle, WA; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and one great granddaughter on the way; one great, great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
A short memorial and celebration of life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2019 in Vino Cellars at the Lake, Kimberling City, MO.
