Charles Daniel Carter

Charles Daniel Carter, age 72, of Deltona Florida passed away on December 1, 2020 at Fish

Memorial Hospital in Orange City Florida. Charles was born in 1948 in Springfield Missouri to

Laura Lee Katherine Cheffey and Lester Headlee Carter. He graduated from Willard High

school. Throughout his life Charles worked as a fireman for the Springfield Missouri Fire

Department, Roadway transport, Professional Equipment Movers, the Jim Stafford Theatre, and was the owner of a lawn care business in Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball games, working on cars, attending classic auto shows and playing with his dogs.

He is survived by his significant other, Helen Sanders, his three children, Angela Jordan,

Charlie Carter, and Darin Carter. Grandchildren, Brittney Phillips, Josh Jordan, Christopher

Carter, Caleb Carter, Colton Carter, Makenna Carter, Tyler Carter and Addisen Carter. Three

great grandchildren. Three sisters, Nancy Metzler, Paula Long, Kelly Bigbee, Two brothers,

Hazen Carter, and Jody Carter. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Charles was well loved and will be missed by many. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Lohman Funeral Home Deltona Florida. A memorial service will be held later in the Springfield Missouri area.
