Charles “Dick” Leroy Southwick
Charles “Dick” Leroy Southwick, age 80, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home September 15, 2020. He entered this life May 25, 1940, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the son of Curtis and Florence (Powell) Southwick. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Calvin Southwick, and two sisters: Doris Brewer, and Mary Yeager. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Dick is survived by his little brother, Harold Southwick of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two sisters: Carolyn Parker of Morris, Oklahoma, and Virginia Smith of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two daughters: Stacey Sexton and Amanda Kelly; three grandchildren: Shelly Sexton, David Owens, and Landon Sullivan; four great-grandchildren: Lainey and Hattie Sullivan, Jayce Arbaugh, and Bentley Turner.
Charles was a Christian. He graduated from Morris High School in Morris, Oklahoma. He moved from Okmulgee to Harrison, Arkansas, when he was 21 and became a successful businessman as owner and vice president of Petroleum Supply and P.S.I. Tire Center.
He enjoyed playing music, working hard, restoring cars, and spending time with friends and loved ones. He was a swell and gracious brother, caring father, beloved grandfather, and uncle. He was loved by all. His humor, wit, and loving knowledge will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. September 26, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Valley Springs, Arkansas; and again at 2:00 p.m. October 4, 2020, in Okfuskee, Oklahoma.
