Charles Francis Erbach

Charles Francis Erbach, Kimberling City, MO, son of Laurence and Sylvia (Huening) Erbach, was born August 3,1933 in Chicago, IL and departed this life on March 10, 2021 at the age of 87.

Chuck completed high school and one year of college before enlisting in the Army for four years. He spent the rest of his career as a development technician for Evenrude and Johnson outboards at OMC Waukegan, IL.


After retiring and settling in Kimberling City Chuck was a memer of the Kimberling City Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. He also volunteered for many years at Our Lady of the Cove working in the kitchen, mastering the art of fried chicken and fish-and, flipping the perfect pancakes!


Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Shirley Erbach and sister Doris Maerzke.


Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Erbach of Kimberling City, MO; two daughters, Karen Schmitt and husband, Chuck of Sycamore, IL and Catol Leicht and husband, Scott of Mt Pleasant, WI; son Phillip Erbach and wife, Karen of Spring Grove, IL; step-sons, Michael Barnes and wife Mitz of Clever, MO and Steven Barnes and wife Leta of Springfield, MO; sister, Sue Glenn and husband, James of Antioch, IL; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one on the way and a host of other family and friends.


Memorial service for Charles will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church with Father Joji Vincent officiating. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to go to Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church.


Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
