Chris Richard Lowrance
Chris Richard Lowrance, age 61, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Friday March 3, 2020. He entered this life December 25, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri, the son of Kenneth and Juanita (Sloan) Lowrance. His parents; first wife, Vic Lowrance and second wife Brenda Lowrance have preceded him in death. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
An outdoorsman, Chris could be found training horses, fishing, hunting, shooting guns or just driving around looking at the sights. He was a skilled furniture builder and enjoyed working with wood. During his working years, Chris was a heavy equipment operator, making artillery and multipurpose gun ranges for the military but was forced to leave the career due to his health. His favorite times were when he was loving on his family. Chris was always there to help relatives and friends. Many lives have been influenced by the life Chris lived. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his children, all of Lebanon, Missouri: two sons: Scott (Krista) Lowrance, and Rick (Tara) Lowrance; daughter, Dusty Gibbs; eleven grandchildren: Morgan (Robbie), Logan, Mason, Mariah, Brenden (Miya), Kimberly, Paige, Ethan, K.J., Alex, and Shelby; two great-grandchildren: Kable and Waylon; mother-in-law, JoAnn Wilsey of Lebanon, Missouri; sister, Sherri (Danny) Marcum of Lebanon, Missouri; four brothers, all of Lebanon, Missouri: Brad (Jeanette) Lowrance, Mark (Becky) Lowrance, Matt (Falon) Lowrance, and Micah (Rhonda) Lowrance; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A family celebration of life is being planned for a later time. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the local humane society, “Claws and Paws” (www.adoptapet.kindful.com).
