Danny Lee Edwards
Danny Lee Edwards, age 55, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
He was born September 27, 1964 in Carthage, Missouri the son of Emerald D. and Margie (Buttrum) Edwards. Danny grew up in Joplin, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas where he graduated from JC Harmon High School. While in high school he worked in restaurants and gas stations and later was a mechanic and did construction work. For sixteen years he was production manager for Continental Siding Supply in Kansas City, Missouri.
Around the age of eleven he was saved at Victoria Tabernacle Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing pool, fishing and boating on the Lake of the Ozarks, country music and singing karaoke. He enjoyed following the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
Surviving are his mother, Margie Carter of Kansas City, Kansas; one step-son, Jason Samuelson; one step-daughter, Jessica Goth/Samuelson both of Edwardsville, Kansas; two brothers, Johnny Carter of Kansas City, Kansas and Casey Sayree of Olathe, Kansas; one sister, Nancy Taffner and her husband Charlie of Jasper, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Sarah Edwards of Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Serenity, Trinity, Zarah and Lysion; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his cat, Sandman.
Preceding him in death were his father, Emerald D. Edwards; his step-father who raised him, Ellis Carter; grandparents, Paul and Hazel Buttrum and Newport and Goldie Edwards; one brother, Ronald Edwards and one step-brother, Greg Sayree.
A special thanks to Kim Gibson and Phoenix Home Care and Hospice and to Alec Cook and Denny at Continental Siding Supply Company and their employees for all the kindness they have shown Danny during his illness.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, September 21, 2020 at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to Phoenix Home Care and Hospice in memory of Danny.
